-Tries to cook the perfect egg: fails. Represents Itachi's failed plans to protect Sasuke, each eggs represents a problem that Itachi created for Sasuke as a result of trying to protect him

-Warns Sasuke not to touch the other eggs. The other eggs are “bad” eggs according to Itachi and probably represent negative influences like Orochimaru and Obito. The mangekyou eye that appears in the yolk of each these eggs is symbolic for Itachi keeping a watchful eye over Sasuke. He's aware of the likes of Orochimaru and Obito, who are waiting in the wings to corrupt Sasuke and send him down the wrong path.

-Runs out of eggs- Runs out of ideas?

-Notice how Itachi fails to cook his ideal egg alone, it's not only until he seeks assistance from the chicken that he obtains his ideal result. We all know with this symbolizes, that cooperation>trying to do everything yourself.

-Finally cooks the egg that he believes to be “perfect” after activating his mangekyou sharingan. This represents the stage of Itachi's life where he believed that he could achieve everything himself as long as he had power. He also fails to recognize the fact that without the chicken, he wouldn't be able to create the “perfect” egg.

-The “perfect” egg Itachi makes for Sasuke has both the mark of the Uzumaki and Uchiha clans, side by side. This egg represents what Itachi believes to be the “perfect” solution to Sasuke's problems, to be saved by Naruto and cooperate with him.

-When Sasuke says “I've had better” and cuts the egg in half, this represents Sasuke's desire to sever his bond with Naruto and also his belief that he has a better plan for himself than Itachi has for him.

-Itachi takes this surprisingly well and smiles. It's a smile of acceptance. Itachi has finally accepted the fact that he can't do everything for Sasuke and has to let him find his own answer.

-Sasuke is then shown lying under a rock in the shade, which obviously represents the darkness. Naruto guides Sasuke out of the darkness and into the light, which of course foreshadows Naruto saving Sasuke from the darkness.

-The final scene with Naruto and Sasuke in a frying pan as a giant Itachi watches over them, again symbolizes that all Itachi can do for Sasuke now is watch his progress from above and hope the two of them can combine to make the “perfect” egg.

That's my lame take on it, anyway.
