All Itachi needs to do is point his finger to put you in genjutsu I believe.
This means that Itachi could probably do that before a standing still kakashi would be trapped in a genjutsu for a short period of time while trying to warp Itachi regardless of being able to break it with his sharigan and ultimately would end up being placed under tsukiyomo as a result of that time being caught in genjutsu.
