Itachi was shown many times to be a absolute speedster in battle. Kakashi's Sharingan couldn't keep up with his jutsu speed(Faster than Sharingan!!!), Sasuke had to invent Summoning Shurikens from his sleeve to keep up with Itachi's shuriken draw speed, both Naruto and Bee had a hard time landing a hit on Itachi, and not to mention he kind of kept out with Sage Mode Kabuto which was really impressive overall.

Not only was his combat speed an absolute nightmare to face he had impeccable speed in formulating strategies against any opponent. Revealing their jutsu weakness in almost no time.
