When has Kakashi ever got close to killing Itachi? Part 1 he got destroyed by one Tsukuyomi which was weakened to not kill him as Itachi was actually good. In Part 2 Kakashi still will get destroyed it might take a little more but there's no chance for Kakashi to defeat Itachi.
