Itachi solo king ?

When you try to include Itachi for soloing 3 TOMOE Kakashi (no MS)
Sasuke (who he didn't defeat btw)
Diedara and Oro who he didn't fight in a real battle and aren't the strongest ninja around

...then I ignore your judgement all together.

Like I said, Itachi is great, not the solo king. Never fought anyone of any value 1vs1 in a real fight

What is your definition of a fight? Orochimaru and Deidara chose to fight, and they chose the wrong technique to fight with. Itachi exploited their decision and one shot them, bad. Secondly, Sasuke would be dead if itachi hadn't been holding back, his susano'o was up while sasuke was drained. Lastly 3t kakashi was one of the strongest ninja at the time, and is still impressive enough to be considered.

Not advocating for the "solo king" title. But you don't give him credit where it was earned.

You showed your hand right here. What is the title of this thread? The thread is advocating for the solo king title. And for those puproses, Itachi doesn't compare because as I said, Oro and Diedera were fodder at the time. You can't compare Itachi one shotting those guys or a 3 tomoe Kakashi (who you KNOW is fodder compared to part 2 Kakashi and most part 2 ninja) to....

Minato fighting a guy like Obito 1v1...
Naruto defeating 5 pains by himself...
Sasuke defeating the 10-sharingan having/Izanagi wielding Danzo even after he had fought Gaara, the mizukage and the Raikgage before that

If you read some of my other posts, you would've saw that I called Itachi THE MOST IMPRESSIVE NINJA IN NARUTO. So I think I've given him his due credit. But since I'm trying to remain fair and on topic of the thread. Itachi's feats aren't worthy of solo king compared to other ninja.

Smh I'm not mad at you but I hate it when people get so stuck on trying to defend Itachi they get defensive for no reason

I think the reason why he was hailed as the Solo King by the majority was because of the fact that he solo's an opponent in under a span of five to ten seconds. Which is kind of impressive considering Itachi's conditioning and (according to the Data Book) low stamina.

If we go by Totsuka Blade's Data Book entry, it states that whatever the sword pierces is plunged into an eternal Genjutsu and is then sealed for all eternity. The Juubi is not an exception until further notice.

**Edit** You reminded me Naruto could be a contender too since he solo'd 5 of the 6 pains by himself which isn't easy either. There really hasn't been a lot of solo fights where both opponents were strong and one wasn't a fodder

Well you can go by the databook. I'm going by the manga. And from the manga, it states the sage solo'd the juubi. And from the manga, we've never seen Itachi solo anyone with totsuka exept Oro (don't count Nagato because that fight was 3v1 not solo)

I respect your opinion but I have to disagree. He's solo'd the least amount of strong opponents. I already said he's the most impressive ninja in Naruto, but he's solo'd no one of any worth. Oro was weak at the time, Diedara is FAR from an elite ninja (though he's not bad), and Kakashi was 3 tomoe at the time, he didn't even have MS.

Minato has solo'd Obito (stronger than Kakashi, Diedara and Oro in my opinion)
Naruto solo'd 5 pains by himself (again, stronger than Itachi's 3 opponents)
Sasuke solo'd Danzo (still stronger than Itachi's opponents with exception of maybe Oro) and he did it after he had already fought 3 kage.

Itachi's solo accomplishments aren't all that impressive compared to others

Sasuke is probably the solo king since he's like the only character who's actually fought a strong opponent 1v1 and won besides Hashirama. Most fights surprisingly aren't 1v1 or are against fodder ninja.

Sasuke beat Naruto 1v1 even though they were both fodder compared to now. And he beat Danzo by himself even after he had been fighting with Gaara and his squad and the Raikage and his squad and the Mizukage.

If not him then Minato since Minato was said to solo multiple ninja in an instant. If that's not solo king I don't know what is.

Itachi has never really fought anyone who 1v1 who was strong and his best victories (Nagato/Kabuto) he had help. So he's really nowhere close to that title if you're being honest about it

No I know what I said. If you watch that Danzo fight, he didn't receive any help from them at all aside from taking a little chakra from Karin, but don't forget he had fought 3 kage before he ran into Danzo so it all evens out. Tobi never interfered, and he figured out Danzo's jutsu and countered it before Karin had a chance to tell him. He beat Danzo on his own.

He fought Gaara and his team before he had to face the Raikage, again unfair

Again, by the time he fought Onoki, he had already fought against Gaara and the Raikage. And by the time he fought the Mizukage, he had already fought against Gaara, the Raikage and Onoki

He fought Itachi with just his 3 tomoe sharingan and he broke his Tsukuyomi. Give Sasuke some credit.

And again, he still beat Oro with only a 3 tomoe Sharingan. He didn't even have MS when he fought Oro or Itachi.
