Think it's just you. Sasuke likes his brother now, I doubt this is doing anything to make him change his path from annihilating Konoha.
No, he's already dead, the trick is getting him not to move while he's dead.
I suppose you want Itachi to be immortalized and continue to reveal OP things that no other 21 year old should have regardless of his heritage as an Uchiha right? Itachi's character has become tired. I liked him better dead, he was once one of my favorites but Kishi continues to troll him and give him these unbelievable God like abilities even though his only relivance is to be a supporter character. However his support should've ended with his death. He was brought back to be controled as a weapon, fine, he escaped the most powerful mind control technique which started to push the envolope, and now he's taking down Sage Mode Kabuto controling the entire Akatsuki Edo Army virtually by himself because in reality Sasuke's contribution to the fight was rather small. Now he has another unbelievable genjutsu that he magically pulled out of his sleeve smh. Sasuke's character would've been more admirable and more respected by many if he had remained dead, and I mean not moving, body in the ground soul in the other world dead.
As for the weapons, if Itachi were to give them to Sasuke, and he knew Sasuke was going to try to destroy Konoha and/or help Madara who is the one responsible for the clan's fate itself, then Itachi's character would truely have been lost in all it's value as a good character....that's IMO and a few others I know.
Yeah, Because Itachi will Give sasuke More Weapons/Power to Destroy the Village he Died to Protect.

The thing is, that, by doing so, he will show Sasuke he trusts him, in making the right choice in the end... This might be the very detail that will change his mind, and make him betray Tobi...
Also, about Itachi staying alive, It actually could happen: If Kabuto releases the Edo tensei, and that merely stops his control on the Edos (and their regeneration powers), without killing them, Itachi will be left without:
A) His regeneration
B) His Amateratsu eye
C) His Izanami
D) Possibly even his susano, as it needs 2 sharingan (I don't know if they are required to be functioning or not)
So, he would still be the most powerfull Genjutsu user, (as well as a strong suiton/katon user), but he would stop being sooo overpowered... He would also remain in the story, so everyone would be happy... Well, at least that's what I hope for...
I dont get why sasuke has to be given or taught everything, he doest even have even a lil self reliance
Yeah, he just created 10+ chidori variations by himself, mastered Susano in a day, without anyone's help, and was able to learn chidori in a matter of a month or so...
I don't get why everyone is bitching about Sasuke being given everything... Sure, he was trained is badass stuff, but so did Naruto, He was lacky to be born with the sharingan, but he had to master it by training, just as Naruto had to tame Kurama, who was sealed in him (and giving him a grand chakra boost). Sure, he had his brother's eyes transplanted, just like Naruto had the seal puted on him, when the kage was broken... Yeah, he was lucky to be trained by one of the 3 konoha Sannins, just like Naruto, who learned Sage mode by one...
Face it, both Sasuke and Naruto had equal help in developing themselves, so stop puring bullsh1t about one being pampered, and the other not...
Even Itachi, who was training by himself most of the time, got help from Tobi (or the real Madara, nobody knows) and Shisui... Training with a superior is only natural, untill you are the one to pass your knowlage on...
