Itachi Sharingan

Why is Itachi's sharingan always activated? I've never seen him w/o his sharingan activated. Anybody know this answer?

He has had it deactivated before. And we've all seen it. You just probably didn't notice.

only time i really memeber it on manga after the itachii and sasuke fight ... but when he is just walking around... he has it activated

There's also after he fights Kakashi, Asuma and Kurenai.

I think that Kishi just made him have the Sharingan activated most of the time because he looks all intimidating. And that's just Itachi's image.
