This is an open field, that tactic isn't going to work.

Not sure if Alive Hiruzen can use Raiton on that kind of scale, without any drawbacks. It get avoided by Hiding underground, and crippling him or coming underground while cutting him in half. Since his jutsu can be large scale, he won't be able to see his counter due to line of sight. Example[
