If Tobidara was to be revealed, I'm sure he would have in Shippuden. Esp since the new stuff(Gaiden and so forth) are moving on from all that Madara and Hashirama phase, they had most of Shippuden. If you really ask yourself, deep down you know it is true. Cuz even I was all for the Tobidara theory at first. The show is simply moving on from all that history in paticular.

Itachi was smart, smart enough not to mess with Tobi because he knew that he would get his ass handed to him. That's probably why he didn't investigate further so he just took Tobi's word and believed him to be "Madara". Manga scans are not needed because there are enough in this thread.

Yeah his/her comment does make sense. If someone introduces you as x, then you're going to call them x not y, or z. You're hanging on way to hard to your Tobidara theory, when Kishi has long past threw that out of the window.

But itachi said "Madara is very much alive" he himself believed it to be The real Madara.

So that guys example doesn't really make sense.of course itachi will refer to what Obito called himself. But the point is, whether he believes it or not, which he did.
