Itachi would have done it better IMO. Why didn't Madara have an contingency plan for this? Itachi would have had continuous fail safes eg; Amaterasu sealed in Sasuke to kill Obito.

And I wouldn't say unbeatable if his arrogance, once he was near immortal lead to him getting oneshotted by a SEVERELY weaker individual. Itachi would never let that shit fly. Ever. Well unless it would forward his plan.

How itachi ? It would be impossible for Itachi to have ameteratsu triggered on sight of obito without knowing his face ... hence he knew obito/tobi identity .

Personally I think one of Itachi's biggest intelligence feat is that he was able to locate the spirit weapons Totsuka and Yata Mirror.

Wasn't it stated that Orochimaru spent a long time trying to search for them, and Itachi was able to while he was dealing with; The Uchiha's affairs, being an Anbu of the Leaf Village, massacring his entire clan to save his brother, and protecting the village from the outside by spying on the Akatsuki.

While Orochimaru had all this time.... It's pretty amazing. I wish they went into detail on it.

But yeah, like someone needs to research this shit.. Did the dude come in contact with an Ōtsutsuki's transmigrant? The only other way possible probably would be through excessive Yin Chakra - Nothing to Something. Maybe he explored spiritually through the world, or w/e and found them.
