If you recall, when itachi trapped sasuske in genjutsu on their final battle, to show him the story of madara and explain the MGS , he built the "dream" or "illusion" from scratch, kind of like madara showed obito the blank world.

yeah this is also true, i didn't give it much thought, maybe if itachi would of actually been a bad person and took sasuskes eyes he could of surpassed madara??

madara was hooked up to the gedo receiving a endless supply of residual juubi chakra which the sharingan ad its powers derive from allowing madara to use a small scale version of creation of all things supported by the fact he cant use it outside of the cave.Tsukuyomi is derived from it.(representing the spiritual dark world).Madara knows the ying yang release so he is able to apply yang chakra to breathe life into the creation.

well obviously!! old madara doesn't even have his own eyes in him eye sockets, just a single borrowed sharingan
