Itachi never wanted EMS

Itachis friend Shisui died and gave him his eye (if not both eyes). If Itachi really wanted EMS, he could have just used these eyes to get it. Instead of this he just gave it to Naruto to stop Sasuke.

Why didnt he want EMS?

he was already dying from w/e illness he had & turns out he was a good guy.....(insert 100 more dots)...... so no point in homiciding sasuke.

ya i agree itachi didnt want the ems, i believe he purposely told sasuke about the ems so he would take his eyes. cuz itachi always planned ahead. mayb THAT conversation between sasuke and itachi willl make sasuke turn good again.

Itachi can't get EMS from Shisui's eye.
1.) Shisui is not Itachi's brother.
2.) Itachi only had one of Shisui's eyes.
3.) Danzo had Shisui's other eye.
Thread invalid...

I'm sure that if Itachi could have gotten EMS through other means(instead of taking his beloved brother Sasuke's eyes) than he would.

If Itachi wanted to get EMS, he could have been.......But it was pointless to be superman when your death is fixed after sometime, power will be useless.

He saved shisui's eyes for other work......
If Itachi wanted EMS, he could have taken his father's eyes (same DNA) so, it would work as same as siblings.....

Yet he took measures to ensure that should Sasuke gain EMS, that Shusui's Genjutsu would be cast upon him.
I think Itachi didn't want EMS but also didn't want Sasuke to have EMS.

If Itachi did want Sasuke to get EMS, it was only so that Shusui's K.A would be cast upon him and he would return to being a good guy. Even if it was a lie.

No I think they both have to have MS and they both have to be brothers.

If thats true then they would both need MS to get it anyway, and the sides I remeber reading somwhere they had to be siblings and it was rare for two compatable brothers to be born.

i would say they both need ms, but i dont believe they need to be brothers just someone that is compatable. obviously a brother or sister is going to be the closest tho.
