Itachi never shown to copy jutsu despite having Sharingan

While Kakashi is famous for copying a thousand jutsu with his Sharingan, and Sasuke was also shown to have copied some jutsu in Part I, Itachi, in his few appearances was never shown (or did I missed something?) to copy jutsu from his opponents. Do you think it is his nature not to copy jutsu, because he might have become more effective if he does. xd

Interesting point. Itachi didn't really need to copy because he had a pretty good arsenal of jutsu. Kakashi's only unique jutsu is chidori.

We dont know if he has copied any jutsu, who knows maybe he has in the past.

I would guess that merely having the sharingan is not enough; perhaps some mental trick or some method of chakra channeling is required, and kakashi learned that and passed the secret on to sasuke, but itachi never had an oppurtunity to learn it.

All uchihas can copy, Kishi just wanted to make Kakashi the one famous for it..

Maybe he has to worry about his chakra. Its all well and good to copy a jutsu so they cancel each other out, but if Itachi goes through with it and it is a particularly charka heavy jutsu then he may become quite drained after.

Instead it may be wiser to invest his energy into a different/ more affective counter that won't simply end in a draw.

Also wondered if he can copy jutsu, then his Nature Type might not be limited to Fire and Water, just like Kakashi was able to use Fireand Water because of Sharingan.

Well going off what we've seen he did need to he outsmarted rather then copy anyone's jutsus

Good point i dont remember him copying jutsu either. But I never seen him lose a fight either (that he was trying to win ) . So i guess he doesnt need them !

that's not the appropriate question. You should ask, what could kakashi have stumbled upon that happened to work, that itachi didn't have to bother to learn? And the answer is "a whole raft of things".

you can't copy elemental affinity and Kakashi never used fire style in the manga.

To be honest Itachi really only uses his Magekyo powers, some genjutsu, and fireball. He really doesnt have a need for many jutsu because his few jutsu suit him perfectly

I think Kishi pretty much ditched that whole concept... Kakashi is the only Sharingan user that we've witnessed copying other Jutsu...
