Itachi+Nagato stronger than Edo Madara?

Now that i remember it, Itachi said something really interesting. He said that with Nagatos power, nothing could be impossible for them. Does that means Nagato+Itachi=invincible tag team?

I am a great Itachi fanboy. I still don't think they'd stand a chance. Madara's Susano'o > Itachi's Susano'o. Madara's Susano'o >/= Nagato's Gedo Mazo. Plus, we haven't even seen his true powers yet. He's gonna get serious soon enough. Itachi doesn't really have a counter for Mokuton. Nor does Nagato, apart from Summons/Shinra Tensei/Chibaku Tensei. Madara's Katons > Itachi's Katons. Madara would beat them medium to maybe, just maybe, high difficulty.

I think he made that statement not knowing that Madara was brought back too. If he knew that Madara was back with a hundred times the power he had when he was alive, I think he would retract that statement.

Apparently, his Susanoo can turn his clones into big god damn Susanoos.

I would say that Madara would win. Though Nagato has better skill and experience with the Rinnegan, Madara's Rinnegan techniques seeemed to be on a bigger scale in overall power. Madara's Susanoo is extremely big but Itachi's legendary weapons is what doesn't make Madara's Susanoo completely overwhelming. Considering since Totsuka blade seems to seal a living target in a world of genjutsu, it's going to have to penetrate Madara's Susanoo itself to get to Madara. In addition to that, he also has Hashirama's power which includes Mokuton clones.

Itachi with Nagato might be a nearly unstoppable team since they make up for each other's weaknesses to some extent but it's not like Itachi knew that Madara would be getting this upgrade. I still don't think he knows that Madara was brought back as an Edo.
