This is a pretty even battle. I think it depends more on how long the battle lasts.

The only advantage Madara has is that he won't go blind and likely has more chakra than Itachi.

Itachi on the other hand has insane skill with Tsukuyomi, and the legendary weapons.

I think the legendary weapons are actually the tipping point and that they put this in Itachi's favor.

Advantages for both:

Itachi: Tsukyomi, Amaterasu, better susanoo(due to legendary weapons)
Madara: Better fire techs, I think a bit faster, more stamina+ chakra.

I think Itachi wins v.high difficulty

I think it comes down to susanoo, madara talks big and overconfidently thus getting sealed by itachi's susanoo. same like wat happened to oro

This is the second thread about this it was decided Madara would win. Besides the sword and sheild Itachi is out classed everywhere else.

Madara was born and bread for battle he was born during war times. His job was literally get up every day and go to war. This makes his battle experience way to high for Itachi. The only ninja to be able to give Madara a fight and eventually beat him was hashi and I doubt Itachi can even compare.

He was the first uchiha to ever awaken the ms , ems , and Rin. It would be far fetched if he didn't know all the secrets of the sharingann.

Itachis tsukoyomi is useless seeing as Madara is a pure blood uchiha and he would just break it.

Weapon master goes to Madara, he's been known to be very proficient with a katana war fan scythe and kuni/shurikin. Itachi has only been seen using kuni/ shurikin and katanas.

Madara can spam all 3 ms techs with no drawback. Itachi can't. And as I said before Madara knows all the secrets of the sharigann so do you really think he doesn't know all its weaknesses. Just because Madara is confident does not mean he will foolishly attack Itachi.

Everything Itachi does Madara does better. He's to much for Itachi ms or ems.

How exactly is he outclassed everywhere else?

Ninjutsu

Itachi has the higher version of Susano'o with special items. His ultimate jutsu is plain superior.

Taijutsu

Itachi's skill with kunai against the Rinnegan definitely trumps killing fodder with a katana.

Genjutsu

Itachi was said to be the greatest in history by Ao. Madara used generic genjutsu on a fodder.

Intelligence

Madara seems downright foolish in his arrogance. Itachi is arguably the smartest ninja.

Seals

Itachi has the Totsuka and has very hyped-up chakra forming speed. Madara has nothing here.

Stamina

If Madara doesn't have Hashirama's DNA and Itachi isn't sick, then they should be even-ish.
