I'm sorry but that is not possible. You want to know why I say that? The page before shows Hiruzen having a conversation with Danzou as Itachi listens. Then in the very next page, Hiruzen directly speaks to Itachi.

And remember, at Madara's old age he had to stay attached to the mazou which was underground.

So there was not even a way for Madara to be above ground. Especially not in an area filled with the leaf elders, Hokage, and Danzou.
