Itachi made Sasuke stronger with EMS upgrade

Itachi claims before the fight that the users of the EMS gain no powers from the person who they got the eyes from. It could just be that Sasuke's feeling of new strength combined with the feeling of foreign chakra from from Itachi deluded him into thinking he somehow got some of his brothers' power.
