Chapter 576 let my figurate a lot of things. The first itachi know what tobi isnt madara and thats why he say hes going to stop edo tensei. He may know about kabuto trump card madara and going against him not against kabuto. When itachi what hes going stop edo, picture show us madara face and thats is for reason I think. Its be a lot logic battle madara vs itachi and sasuke by another hand could go against kabuto, because kabuto wants revange against sasuke. So its logic to sasuke vs kabuto. Madara looks definetly beat kages, so i think battle with itachi be perfect because these two i think have some story afterall. Knowing kishi its indeed could happen, because he always surprires us.

boulderdash... If Itachi knew about it he would have done something to protect Konoha from Tobi, he could have leaked information back to the village easily, especially since his target was the 9 tails, he could have pretended to be after Naruto while snitching on Tobi.

There is a chance that itachi knew about about tobis identity the entire time and just lied to sasuke again to keep him from the truth for whatever reasons he has hidden.

he was a smart ass dude after all. Planned far ahead. im sure he planned what to say to sasuke to try and prevent him from joining forces with tobi.

but truth about tobi I doubt it and if five kage < Madara then Itachi <<< Madara
but I like to see Itachi kick madara ass, but I think he needs some help
