Alot of people seem to not understand Itachi.

They bash him cuz he killed uchiha children. But what yall dont realize is the Uchiha were screwed regardless.

Danzou was bending the 3rd and the elders to his will.

He created a distrust between Konoha and the uchiha. Even if itachi didnt kill his clan, they were going to rebel and get killed anyway.

Had the uchiha been allowed to live and rebelled,other nations wouldve used that as a sign to attack konoha starting a world war.

Even if the kids lived they would just been like sasuke was in the kage summit.

and instead of 1 MS user running around hellbent on revenge,you'd have a whole group of em.

And itachi joined the akatsuki as a double agent to keep akatsuki at bay.

had he not joined them, they wouldve came for Naruto even earlier than what Itachi and Kisame did.

And they wouldve succeeded. Not to mention itachi didnt really wanna capture Naruto anyway.
