Izanami works on people who refuse to accept themselves and try to be someone else. It can be escaped by accepting your fate; in other words; Who you are. Sasuke knows the workings of Izanami since Itachi has explained every detail to him. Escaping it wouldn't be much of a problem for him. Especially since Itachi already admitted that casting Genjutsu on Sasuke would be ineffective. There's also the fact that Itachi needs to make physical contact with his enemy so he could activate Izanami. <- Sasuke knows that. He won't make any physical contact. Susano'o goes up and Itachi gets teared apart.​

Itachi is probably my favorite character but I still wouldn't put him in top 3 or even top 5.

Here's how I see it:
1. Juubito (until proven otherwise)
2. Rikudo Madara (until proven otherwise)
3. Naruto (with kyuubi)
4. Sasuke
5. Hashirama
6. DSM Kabuto (without ET)
7. Nagato
8. Itachi
9. Minato

Lawl, no.....Itachi himself said that izanami cant be used in normal battles. He died 2-3 times in the process of setting it up. Its just not something that can be used on anyone.

Izanami is what puts itachi in the top three. the only two above him are obito and madara.


Now as we know start izanami, itachi needs to share a physical sensation with an opponent and copy it with his sharingan.

now that is easy for itachi thanks to his amazing use of clones

now through the use of crow clones, he can pretty much get any feeling he wants. then all he needs to do is recreate this again which would be easy because his sharingan remembers it.

all he then needs to do is kill his opponent while they're drooling.

hows obito above madara? madara is the new juubi jinchuuriki so he is number 1 sasuke should be above itachi seeing how sasuke has itachis eyes now naruto is questionable seeing how he is no longer the nine tails jin but sage mode should still make him a top contender also izanami as stated by itachi which all his fanboys seem to not listen to stated that izanami isnt a battle technique and it only works on people who are running from themselves
to have itachi so high is pure bias as what about hashirama and others

i have to disagree with the whole died 2-3 times thing itachi was an edo so dodging would be pointless if itachi had been alive he would not take such risks its not like he had to be saved multiple times like sasuke vs killer bee who needed reviving by his team mates twice. the whole point of edo tensei is that the summoned body can go all suicidal

if we go of this logic then rock lee has killed madara once and so has tsunade
