Youre forgetting the most important aspect of Itachi's success in breaking out of Edo Tensei. The reason why he broke out of it was because of Shisuis eye jutsu, which was all just an accident anyways. Of course Itachi did not predict he would be resurrected as an Edo, so his original intent on using Shisui's eye on Sasuke did not work.

The point is that sharingan was usable by Itachi because of Shisui. If Shisui never gave Itachi his sharingan then Itachi would not have broken out of Edo Tensei. Also, Itachi never predicted he would be ressed by Edo Tensei, it was only chance that this happened and he met Naruto on the battlefield.
By your logic, Naruto should be credited with Itachi's freedom, since Naruto was in possession of the KA.

Nagato is sitting in the sake jar because he was 100% under Kabuto's control. You cannot attribute his body's actions to him while he was under direct control from Kabuto.

He didn't take a chance, he was being controlled at the time, he wasn't doing anything. Kabuto was about to use Amaterasu through him, and thats when the crow reacted to it, resulting in the first image I posted.

Itachi planned for his own death in the fight against Sasuke. His goals were to give Sasuke the MS, eventually the EMS, kill Orochimaru, and guide Sasuke on the path he thought as correct. Itachi wasn't fighting for his life or to win, he was fighting for Sasuke's sake.
