Itachi is the strongest Akatsuki member after Tobi and Nagato

A lot of people say Itachi is overrated, and while I agree to some extent, I still believe he's one of the strongest shinobi there is. Let me start by posting this, look at what it says on the far left hand side going down to up.

That's in the manga, straight from the mouth, or pen, of Kishi.
After tobi, Nagato and Itachi are the two strongest Akatsuki members, and we all know how rediculously powerful the rest of Akatsuki is. Now let me state the obvious by saying nagato>Itachi, Nagato's simply like a walking god, however that shouldn't downplay how good Itachi is too. He had the strongest Sharingan out of anybody in the entire Uchiha clan while he was alive besides Shisui, and he was still stronger than Sasuke when they fought and Sasuke supposedly "won".
As for his Mangekyou, the techniques speak for themselves with Amaterasu, Tsukiyomi, and Susanoo. And yes, Itachi's Susanoo is better than Madara's perfect susanoo, by far because of it's tools.

Itachi has the Sword of Totsuka that seals anything it pieces in a dreamlike world, the Yata Mirror which repels ANYTHING, and another Susanoo fits in the category of ANYTHING, plus Yasaka Matagama, one of the best long-range attacks.

So, to Sum it up, Tobi>Itachi, Nagato>Itachi, but Itachi>Anyone else in Akatsuki
Also, Itachi>Edo Madara, prove me wrong and Ill take that one back and give you some :ice:

Madara's perfect Susanoo would crush Itachi's. You can give a kid a sword and shield and me a stick but I'd still win the fight. Same logic for Itachi and Madara. Madara is just too powerful.

Itachi is dead. He died again when edo was canceled. Therefore he is not the stronger akatasuki member. He was killed by a weak sasuke. Madara for all he know died of natural causes or wounds suffer by perhaps one of the greatest ninja ever and trolled Edo to remain. Itachi was played and used like a fiddle by anybody with resemblance of political power.
