This guy should have been in line to become Hokage, he is definite kage material power-wise, intelligence-wise, decision making, love for his village and country, loyalty...the list goes on. Only Itachi would have come up with this scenario on how to stop Kabuto without killing him, pure brilliance. It is my opinion that if the Konoha council had lined him up to replace the 4th Hokage while the 3rd was still alive and had notified the Uchiha clan there would have been no overthrow planned by the Uchihas. This guy even recognizes his past mistakes and reconciles them... too good. What a waste by Konoha.

obviously no 1 in the hidden leaf is better than ITACHI now. he is the only 1 who could have been able to replace the 4th perfectly but because of his love for his village, he threw that away and even though he is dead he is still the best
