That's because Kishimoto gave Itachi a godlike appearance, Itachi is always calm and observant, he's the one who said that every jutsu has a weakness and every hero/strong shinobi have weaknesses, he has shown us feats where he was able to prove that what he said is true as he was able to find weaknesses in no time, Itachi's intelligence is unmatched and Itachi is the one and only person who's able to take on powertanks like Naruto because of his calm and observant behaviour.

Even Kabuto was impressed with Itachi, and he doesn't really compliment anyone I think. Itachi had some great justus and attacks and all but his biggest strength I think was his ability to stay calm and figure out the situation.

What made Itachi very dangerous was the fact that he was always calm and observant and was always able to handle the situation, because he knew what to do.

Not saying you're a hater, however Itachi atleast admits that he's not perfect, other characters never did yet failed. The fact is that Itachi is very dangerous because of his observant and calm behaviour in battle, besides he's an Uchiha and it's said that fighting an Uchiha in a 1v1 is not a good idea and Itachi is even hyped among the Uchiha clan, not to mention that he can only be killed by another Uchiha member.

So until kishi officially says that so and so was the best cough · sage o6p, madara pre-posy valley of the end ·cough, its all just speculation. But until such a time im rolling with itachi. Just because his name rings bells throughout the narutoverse, he was a proven genius (before the sharingan) and got the sharingan at an unprecedented age, a power which I believe bolstered his intelligence problem solving and situational eval. Skills on par if not greater then shikaku, and the yata mirror people... It reples ANY TYPE OF ATTACK lets not mention his sword the sage killer.
