Agreed 100%. In addition to that he carried the burden of being a double spy, loved his village and little brother so much so that he was protecting them from a far all the while letting everyone think he was a villain. He would have made one hell of a Hokage. True Genius shinobi!

you forgot that the manga+obito said that itachi could defeat him.
thus obito never apporached sasuke or konoha until itachi died.

Also saved Naruto+ Bee from being soloed by nagato, flawlessly.

One shotted orochimaru in his strongest form too.

I think the reason why i like Itach is that he could see past his clans curse and use the power of the sharingan to do something for the sake of the whole "The needs of the many outway the needs of the few"

In fight anyone can lose Even Itachi Cous he told himself that everyone have a weakness........So for me he is not the beast If I had to choose THE BEST I wuld say Kakash(one of the most loyal,Courage,Strongest,Inteligent and the best).But that's just my opinion

Nagato has no chance of defeating Itachi, Itachi knows how the Rinnegan works and Itachi already shown us that he knew how to counter some of Nagato's jutsu's.

Besides Itachi sealed Nagato anyways, Kabuto admitted that Nagato had no chance of dodging it, because it happened too fast.
