Itachi is overrated.

Yea, he was a prodigy. And was advanced for his age. But he reached his peak in part 1 whereas tons of other characters have either surpassed him, or will surpass him. He was wise, but so is Kakashi, and almost every Kage, so thats nothing special. He is smart, but so are a handful of other ninja. He has great genjutsu skill, Shisui was better though, he is good at taijutsu, but Rock Lee and Gai, heck, hyuuga have better taijutsu. His fire style is mediocre.
His MS drains him, so he can barely use it, not to mention he coughs of blood if over used. Sasuke has surpassed him.
If Itachi is facing someone who is weaker, he will solo, but if he is facing someone on his level, or higher, he will lose. Because his illness with start to effect him, not to mention he is also going blind. Dont get me wrong, Itachi is good, but overrated severely. Most people aren't brave enough to admit it due to the Itachi fanboys, but it is true. There are many characters better than him that are underrated because they arent uchiha.

Amaterasu defeats 95% of the narutoverse.

There are maybe 5 characters who possess the ability to dispel Sharingan Genjutsu who also have the speed to dodge/tank Amaterasu.

It's safe to assume Itachi had Susano'o and Yata Mirror during Part 1, is what I think OP meant.

I get that, but we really cannot go by assumptions but if we are, you gotta assume the opposite as well. seeing as though the yata mirror and totsuka bade are actual items and not apart of susanoo we can assume he had to acquire them and did not get them when he unlocked MS. Also we have to assume that he had to learn Susanoo. when he first unlocked his MS all he had was Tsukiyomi during the uchiha massacre. then when he came back to the village he had amaterasu. it can also be assumed he had learned susanoo aswell so both arguments are plausible

He is overrated because people think he is the best at anything.

I agree he is not, but being well rounded ninja with fire power of MS makes him very powerful. His fans vey well agree that he is not the most powerful ninja So i don't see the point.

His taijutsu being worse than Lee, Gai, Hyuuga etc. does not mean his taijutsu is unworthy, in comparasion to masters he is not the best taijutsu user but still ver skilled and among the best.

Shisu had a one op genjutsu tech that can be used few in a lifetime while Itachi had 3T genjutsu, finger genjutsu, MS which can be used multiple times.

And i don't get the point of this:

Yeah I know. I mean, though, that off-screen, he had unlocked Susano'o and acquired Yata Mirror during the time frame of Part 1. We just didn't see him. Also, considering he went blind during the Sasuke fight, he had probably already used MS to some extent, probably testing out his skills with Susano'o/Yata Mirror, etc.
