No, it's not safe to say that Nagato can tank tsukyomi. That's nothing more than fanfiction. The fact that itachi never caught nagato in it doesn't help your case because:
A: It's not a tanking feat, it's an evasion feat...
B: Itachi never even tried using tsukyomi on Nagato. Nagato was an edo at the time. Using tsukyomi would have been pointless.....

If anything he had a harder time because he had to save Naruto and Bee. Idk why people always brings this up. They where pretty much just there. Itachi did all the work. Even if Nagato had legs, he would have gotten hit by the Sword. He didnt even feel its presence until he was stabbed already.

Just wanna say that you can't really just rule out a win for Itachi. Of course even if he does manage a win (which is admittedly pretty unlikely), it won't be one without some sacrifices. And let's not forget, "every jutsu has a weakness". Itachi will figure out a counter for some of Nagato's attacks.

Zetsu already discredited the higher dojutsu is unaffected by lower dojutsu claim when he stated that 3-tomoe sharingan Sasuke had a chance at genjutsuing MS Itachi. But I guess that you can believe that Nagato roflstomps Itachi if that's what helps you sleep at night. Even though the manga proved quite the opposite.

This. Can anyone tell me why Madara still doesnt have an answer to Kamui even with his Rinnegan?. Some of you fools thought he can use one of the paths to absorb the chakra used to form kamui and negate the attack, yet he hasnt. Its cause he cant. Rinnegan doesnt automatically mean that you beat Sharingan. In Nagatos case it is worst too since he cant revert the eyes back to Sharingan. He never had the use of Genjutsu. He can still be caught in Tsukoyomi and all of Itachi's other genjutsu.
