I don't think Itachi is invincible. People take things a bit too seriously.. People claim that Itachi is completely invincible and no attack can destroy his Yata Mirror. I disagree..

This weapon is called the Kabutowari.. it's said it is capable of crushing ANY and ALL defenses.. that includes the Yata Mirror . According to your logic, it must be able to destroy the Yata Mirror. The Kabutowari was introduced after the Yata Mirror. If it were to be useless against the Yata Mirror, it would have been said to crush MOST defenses.

Itachi was basically Invincible to any jutsu that involved using one of the 5 elements, not only that but Yatas mirror also acted like a normal shield.
Assuming that guys sword did not use the fire element and was strong enough to crack a susano'o then yes he may have been able to break it.

on the other hand it can go wither way, Kabutowari is said to break all defenses but yata mirror is said to be able to protect from all offenses

He probly could smash it but its a spirit weapon, so if smashing it doesnt kill itachi id expect it to reappear, but who know. I hope sasuke gets the spirit weapons so all our questions about them can be answered.
