Itachi is not only one of the few people who have a stat of 5 speed in the databook but he's also a quick thinker, great intellect and one of the few shinobi is quick on his feet. Hell even his handseal speed is undoubetedly the fastest which is another testament to his speed.
When is Naruto ever serious according to the Naruto wank lobby? Seriously any feat that happens to make Naruto look bad, the excuse is always the same.
These are the only excuses they always have; he wasn't serious; he wasn't using full speed; he was holding back.
The excuses are the same as the lobby isn't intelligent enough to make new ones.
It's not like it's 1st time Naruto was fighting an opponent in the war arc and was unable to hit them or land hits. Madara, Obito, Itachi, Nagato and Sasuke. All of these opponents were able to outmaneuver or outspeed him during battle. In regards to Minato, his speed is impressive due to FTG, but it'll never be a decisive factor against opponents that are just as fast or faster and are not raging bulls and not so stupid to heavily rely on their speed in a fight.
The guy tripped over a root. A ****ing root! His face was bashed in by kicks, punches and burnt through in his fight against the Jins. Why? Because he couldn't evade. Non-Jin Obito took out his clones more than once by only moving his arms when he was being constantly aided by Kakashi and gated Gai. Non-Jin-Madara absolutely slapped his BM outing without moving his legs at all, when he was weaker and slower than his alive version. Obito was chasing him around just fine. He matched his speed in BM when he used that Rasangan to put out the projectiles. Who was having trouble outspeeding him? No one.
As for Minato, then Sasuke moved faster than two of him (KCM clone) to save Naruto before he fell down and got killed by Obito. When Susanoo makes a user slower. He made Susanoo when Obito came to kill them, whilst Minato was standing there, looking stupid. He managed to easily outspeed KCM Naruto as well.
Hyperboles is all this guy has.
