I beileve itachi is acting like batman since batman was made in 1920's

Itachi did all of this for sake of konoha beside he loves his brother more than

The only other alternative was to kill him.... also it wasnt 72 hours only Kakashi's version was. Also as per Japanese traditions, Harakiri is not considered horrific.... rather it was the traditional way traitors died. (Rather symbolic there)

His threat was that if Danzo ever hurt Sasuke he would tell people the truth of the Uchiha massacre. And lets face it Danzo deserved that.
