I completely agree with Blaze Release. Itachi is known for his sense of peace and intelligence. I believe if Itachi were to lie, it would be to either protect or keep peace. I couldn't see him deliberately lying, unless there was a very good reason. Unless he just had no idea about it, which is very unlikely. He has practically planned for everything.

Kakashi didnt even have MS till Shippuden so Kakashi doesnt count and sishui was already dead so neither does he
