sharingan...not Uchiha. Otherwise, Orc would've been rocking a pair of sharingan himself. Danzo is the type of dude that would send a Uchiha out on a mission then end up killing him for his eyes.

This is true he would definitely do something along those lines and my bad I meant sharingan
But I feel itachi did what he felt had to be done there is no way he would have been satisfied with what he was doing but he put his feelings aside for the sake of the village he was a Shinobi first and you got to admire that this is just one example of what makes him a top tier character it makes sense were still talking about someone who passed at the beginning of the series

Itachi killing Uchihas was the biggest community service, its a shame that he missed one.

2 actually, one of which he worked with on the mission and also ended up almost ending the entire world after taking countless innocent lives for an insane plan.

No Kakashi didnt kill the demon brothers. He accidentally killed Haku.

Kakashi pulled raikiri for zabuza, and he knew naruto and sasuke didn't have the heart to kill haku. Demon bros were both gonna die.Ony reason he let them live in that moment was for info.

I lightweight wanted to see the look on his face as he killed that child!

Whoever made this picture was really trying to understand itachi! Gotta give that person credit.

I know the Itachi fan that made that fanart. She does understand him pretty well and has created artwork ranging from his most gentle moments to his most lethal (like this one). It's beautiful. Though, later on she (and some others) did admit that it may have been a tad unrealistic given he was the most stealthy assassin of the time so the kid didn't see it coming.

This aspect of Itachi's character is one of the reasons why I found him to be compelling. He chose to bear the sin of killing off his entire clan so that Konoha forces wouldn't have to and his family could keep their honour and continue being remembered as being elite and amazing. At the cost of the way his comrades and others that used to respect him prior the incident would remember him- as the ultimate scumbag. A teen that woke up one day and killed all he loved for no reason... when in reality it was the opposite. He cared for everyone and didn't even get to decide his clan's fate in terms of life and death, only who's hand they would die by.

He chose to carry a burden for the benefit of others. To commit the ultimate sin and commit vile acts while they went against the core of his nature, denying who he truly was. He was a real shinobi and was the character who encompassed the most interesting part about this series. That ninjas are tools at the end of the day, they do try to kill their emotions... but in the end- they're still only human and have the capacity to fail no matter how prepared they are or feel they might be.

He even accepted his mistakes and faults in the end with dignity and a smile. Holding no malice towards the Uchiha nor Konoha. Two sides he protected until the end to varying degrees. Konoha in an obvious way and the Uchiha their name and Sasuke's life. Itachi had numerous moments in his life where he should have killed Sasuke and knew he should have... but in the end he loved him unconditionally. And as a result Sasuke has friends and a family, the Uchiha name is continuing in Konoha.

I found it unique with how Kishimoto ended Itachi as well. Many fans expected the truth to be revealed regardless and for Itachi to get recognition by the village and shinobi world that he saved (twice). However, no one ever knows of his good actions, only the negative. He was a legitimate shinobi carrying out his duty in the shadows. He doesn't expect anything in return and this was the way he preferred it, being one of his requests to Naruto as an Edo which the latter chose to respect.

He's one of the more realistic characters. He has a relatively pure heart but isn't afraid to get his hands dirty if he has to. It's because of characters (antiheroes/tragic heroes) like this that the main characters can look pure by comparison (Sasuke) and keep their hands clean while being the "ultimate goodness" (Naruto). Isn't that the way it should be for this series, though? It's a series about assassins, and yet you'd think the majority of the cast would have a less idealistic view on life like Itachi's. Itachi wanted peace but knew there was no such thing as it being permanent. Meanwhile, every protagonist believed in a prophecy, pushed their burdens while they were alive onto someone else, whined about their pain, and wanted someone else to save them while having friends to back them up. Itachi didn't have this convenience. He was a type of character that most shonen want to avoid- the "good" guy that doesn't have the answer to it all, that cannot save everyone, the one that gives the audience a dose of reality.

Long story short (since this discussion could go on for ages)- I love this picture. Characters with dichotomies like this are all the more human, complex, and admirable.

If Kishimoto wants to continue Naruto in the future, he could always try his hand at a seinen. Characters such as Itachi, Kakashi, Anbu, all the Hokages, Danzo, Shisui, the original Uchiha clan excluding Sasuke (due to the coup), Madara, Mito, Izuna (aforementioned three with the older Hokages in flashbacks), the jins, and others could have some pretty nice development if he decided to go for the true shinobi route. He could basically go through the history of shinobi, it could go over a broader timeline but be much shorter as a series like 300 chapters max. But, he likely won't since he said he was completely done with "Naruto" as a manga upon the conclusion of this Gaiden. Ah well.

You mean "danzo" refused to change his ways.

- Hiruzen still hadn't begun his talks

- nobody of the village knew about this

- This was plotted from the start

- Itachi didn't tell the Uchiha anything

The village elders were siding with Danzo, the Uchiha weren't going to listen to any negotiations

I don't agree with Kishimoto calling him some sort of pacifist like it made the past disappear.

This person is my friend "Nivalis" on deviantart. Her art is awesome! I have a club called Naruto-macrocosm on deviantart. You can join if want to! Yeah she was devastated when Itachi told the truth to Sasuke! As she is a big fan of Itachis.
