Agreed. I think Indra waged the war because of jealousy or somethign similar, which later sprouted into hate. Not because he lost a loved one. As you said, even though they were mortal enemies, both sides surely had clan members who sympathized with their enemy which is the point I was trying to make.

Yeah not all senju were like hashirama, I'm not sure if the manga depicted it the same, however in the anime it was mainly hashirama who wanted to not kill madara. Lol I thought your point was that not all senju had or showed the will of fire/cooperation/peace by love ideology.

Yeah, it was. I guess, we misinterpreted each other's posts a bit. When I said the clan members sympathized with the opposite clan, that was the correlation to a Senju having an Uchiha's mindset and an Uchiha having a Senju's mindset. Manga never showed any Senju that had the Uchiha's mindset, which is why Kishimoto was inconsistent with this particular issue.

Yeah I don't think Indra/Ashura's ideals should be labeled over either Uchiha or senju, as a whole when there are few senju to compare. BTW what would be the Uchiha mindset? Because Indra's ideology was peace through might.
