Itachi Had Two Mangekyo?

I noticed this along time ago but completely forgot. In the flashback in volume 25 we see itachi and his Mangekyo looks a lot different.

Has this been addressed? It doesn't look like his normal Mangekyo. Was it Sasukes imagination? Or is it the same Mangekyo Kishi just altered the design slightly?

I wouldn't even call this an inconsistency. It appears to be panel-by-panel display of Itachi's 3T Sharingan changing into the Mangekyo Sharingan. The final design just wasn't revealed at that point.

Come on guys. It went from panel to panel to show he was simply changing from 3T to MS. It wasn't finished forming. The design didn't change.
