You see Itachi's true self as well as him being awesome when he activates his MS just for the heck of it.

He still has the coolest MS in the series (including the EMSs we've seen) - just something about those spirals along with the powerful looks he gives with it

Itachi is da greatest!!! Pretty much everything about him defines the word "cool" or even "cool cat". His stoic attitude, the way he makes his Akatsuki cloak look badass! His MS is gotta be the coolest in the series. How he only gets into fights that are truelly neccesary. Takes on people with Genjutsu as a smart tactical move. And on toppa all that he loves his village and has faith in his brother even though no one else does (save Naruto). And maybe even most of all his ability to sacrafice that which is most close to him (his clan) for the sake of the village!!! . . . the list could go on but I think that's a pretty good start!

Before I knew he was good, I liked him, which is odd for me because I usually don't like villans. I liked him for his badassery of powers. Now, I like him for his sacrifice to the village and what he has done for Sasuke (who ****ing doesn't deserve it!!). He's just too much amazing....

I hear u there on him being too amazing! Obviously a character like his could never be real I don't think it's possible for a human to be as bad ass and sacrafice his clan and himself willingly like that!
