what? sasuke didn't move an inch nor did he turn around he put all of them including the ones behind him so that means it does not nee eye contact and the bijuus needed to be freed by sasuke just like IT

itachi had no counter to that only rinnegan users and naruto are immune to it.

Madara did the same thing, got soloed. Then he got his rinnegan & had to play tug of war to capture them. Sasuke captured the tailed beast no diff with just a glance without even getting touched, then sealed them in CT. You tell me who did it better.

It was a single glance like Hagoromo stated. He didn't spin around to cast the genjutsu, there was no evidence of that, and even if want to assume he did, that's not feasible by any way, since the Bijuu are surrounding him, and they are way too high, he'd have to raise his head to even look at them and cast the Genjutsu, again, that's not feasible.
Anyways that differs from what Obit & Madara did, since he casted the illusion on multiple targets.

not to mention it's a genjutsu from the rinnegan and can only be broken by rinnegan users and naruto...itachi isn't one of them.

1- Yes some characters are stronger than before.
2- I think he still put up with a fight. We are talking about a guy that is 35/40 in the databooks, was sick and holding back always, and still pwn everyone.

Itachi is definitely out of his depth now. You need Minato-level reflexes and speed just to hit Tobi, Naruto and Sasuke are at the very top of their respective ladders and could easily stomp any of their previous opponents (probably at the same time, too), Kisame just proved he's as dangerous without Samehada as he is with it and Kabuto can summon at least five Zombie Ninja at once...

It seems like the only things keeping him even remotely competitive are the Yata Mirror and the Totsuka Sword, but it's doubtful even those would hold up against the top four (Tobi, Sasuke, Naruto and Kabuto).

Itachi and Jiraiya would get raped by the Current Top Tier Ninja. Killer Bee with Samehada, Kabuto with Tensei, Naruto with Rikudo Mode, Sasuke with EMS, Prime Madara, Hashirama, Rikudo-Sannin, and Possibly Rikudo's Sons are all greatly out of Itachi/Jiraiya's league.

Pain/Nagato is a step above them as well, but he is not that far above them.

Many people claim he would be able to put a fight... but they don't explain how. Nagato was able to easily defeat a ninja on Itachi's level. Naruto and Sasuke are most likely already there and you have Kabutomaru, Killer Bee with Samehada and even weakened Madara who Itachi never dared to face directly yet Minato in minutes was capable to discover the weakness of his S/T. Then you have Itachi himself admitting he was weaker than EMS Madara yet the same Madara was on par at best with Shodai.

If you add to that list ninjas like Nidaime (Hirashin + Edo Tensei), Danzo (who was capable to compete with a Sasuke on par with SM Naruto), Raikage (whose speed renders MS useless unless you have great chakra capacity) etc... then Itachi wouldn't even make in the top ten list at all.

Jiraiya stated he couldn't deal with 3 bodies and he would die . So he had to retreat in order Fukusaku and Shima set up a trap. This tactic on a different setting most likely wouldn't work without having all the sewers of Amegakure to conceal them.

Even in death, Itachi is still a high caliber ninja...probably a tier below the top. His version of Susano'o (w/Yata & Totsuka) is arguably the best defensive jutsu in the Manga to date.

I think he's a tier and a half below the top level (not including Rikdou Sennin's level of course).

He wouldn't stand a chance against anyone on the top tier, which I'd imagine includes EMS Sasuke, RSM Naruto, Prime Madara, Hashirama, and Kabuto. Nagato would be the half tier above Itachi (which is still a pretty big difference).

Naruto and Sasuke are most likely already there and you have Kabutomaru, Killer Bee with Samehada and even weakened Madara who Itachi never dared to face directly yet Minato in minutes was capable to discover the weakness of his S/T. Then you have Itachi himself admitting he was weaker than EMS Madara yet the same Madara was on par at best with Shodai.

If you add to that list ninjas like Nidaime (Hirashin + Edo Tensei), Danzo (who was capable to compete with a Sasuke on par with SM Naruto), Raikage (whose speed renders MS useless unless you have great chakra capacity) etc... then Itachi wouldn't even make in the top ten list at all.

Jiraiya stated he couldn't deal with 3 bodies and he would die . So he had to retreat in order Fukusaku and Shima set up a trap. This tactic on a different setting most likely wouldn't work without having all the sewers of Amegakure to conceal them.

Even in death, Itachi is still a high caliber ninja...probably a tier below the top. His version of Susano'o (w/Yata & Totsuka) is arguably the best defensive jutsu in the Manga to date.

I think he's a tier and a half below the top level (not including Rikdou Sennin's level of course).

He wouldn't stand a chance against anyone on the top tier, which I'd imagine includes EMS Sasuke, RSM Naruto, Prime Madara, Hashirama, and Kabuto. Nagato would be the half tier above Itachi (which is still a pretty big difference).

Danzou competed with stage 3 Susano'o Sasuke, while SM Naruto was equal with stage 4 Susano'o Sasuke.

Still, Danzou would certainly be near Itachi's strength.
