I know most of you know this but lately I've found a lot of people who are on denial about this. Itachi was not able to seal Orochimaru. Orochimaru avoid the sealing and tried to sneak his way out of there. It was only by accident that he got killed, hit by a branch burning on Amaterasu.

He could be brought back via Edo Tensei, or as I actually theorized myself. Kabumaru is planing on bringing him back for real via Rinnegan.

I think a part of him was sealed like a part of kurama was sealed. a piece of him did get away though and was killed by amaterasu but that's not a seal. There is also the part of Oro that Kabuto has. Since not all of him was sealed and there is still existing dna of his, technically I suppose he could be edo tensaid. I believe we'll see him again. When characters in this series die for real they always have some last words or a final flashback or something and Oro didn't have that. Both times he was just disposed of so I think he'll be back.

I agree with the op. that snake did get away so technically he wasn't completely sealed. The Amaterasu killed him. Showing that he died from the flames. I think he can be revived.

Kabuto integrated some of Orochimaru's remains into his body. Orochimaru tried to possess Kabuto but failed. Now we have Kabumaru.
Orochimaru may take over Kabuto someday.
Oro's chakra from Anko may eventually help.

Well it can't be all explained, now can it? When being sealed Oro managed to escape in the form of a white snake. Yet when he was approaching the forest a branch that had amaterasu hit him, making the snake burn. The why? Because Kishi wanted it to be that way. Kishi din't want Oro sealed, he only wanted Itachi to take Oro out of Sasuke and I believe this was actually Itachi's primary concern. He was going for the freedom of Sasuke, sealing Oro was most likely a bonus.

Raga you are very wise! i have been telling ppl forever....it's like they totally forgot kabuto captured Anko who was one of the original shinobi to receive the cursed mark from Orochimaru....anything is possible at this point.
