Itachi fail

I just realized something itachi gave shishui's eye to naruto expecting it to work on his ms in sasuke's ems
but didn't know tobi would tell sasuke about itachi's past which is what caused sasuke to awaken his ms furthemore did sasuke even know about ems prior to talking to tobi ~_~ seems like a fail on itachi's part to me U_U if it went according to itachi's plan It would've been a failure as sasuke wouldn't had awakened his ms U_U True story.

No dude, Itachi put it in naruto as a "what if" situation, if sasuke came back to konoha hurray, if not, if he somehow found out the truth about itachi and went after the EMS then his crow would've came into play so he didn't fail that was just his back up plan

This is what Itachi figured: Since he took away Oro's power from Sasuke, he would take his eyes to make up For it. Itachi didn't expect Sasuke to get EMS, just to take his eyes and possess them in the same manner that Kakashi has Obito's.

Okay lets suppose MS doesnt awaken after seeing death...but still,if Sasuke had not activated it and/or not met Tobi,most likely wud be he wud hv returned to Konoho coz then he wud hv no grudge against anyone,then he wud be sided with Konoha and wud hv lived his life without MS...even if he wud awaken it afterwards,he wud already be with Konoha and hence Shisuis genjutsu wud hv no effect
Itachis plan was basically a backup,if Tobi wud hv brought Sasuke to darkness,then u know what wud hv happened

Itachi is the true definition of a ninja who both protected his villiage and his brother in the shadows with 0 recognition and instead seen as a criminal. He is a hero and is my favorite character in all of naruto. He is a ****ing genius that very few people in the narutoverse can even defeat. he sacrificed himself, if he really wanted power and really wanted to take sasukes eyes then he really couldve been like the strongest shinobi of all time!
