Ok, I'm going to give a couple examples, try and counter them.

My 1v1 scenario is both characters at the strongest we've seen them or have known them to be. This doesn't include the immortality of Edo Tensei. For the example of Kabuto, Itachi is not one of the Edo's.

KABUTO would beat Itachi. To begin with, within less then a second of the battle starting he would summon his edo's (all it takes is the clap of his hands). Then tell me what answer Itachi has for Edo Madara, Nagato, the Gin-Kin brothers, the seven swordsmen, Akatsuki...etc. The answer is he doesn't have one. Sure his sword would take out some. But they would overwhelm him. He would run out of chakra, something that he has low reserves of. And he would NOT be able to catch Kabuto under Tsyukiyomi because Kabuto clearly is avoiding that altogether by closing his eyes. As a result, Itachi has virtually no answer for Kabuto.

NARUTO would be Itachi. To begin with, Naruto is too fast to get hit by Itachi's sword and Amaterasu. He has seen Itachi before, and would NOT allow himself to get caught in genjutsu. Even still, now that he is working with Kurama, the genjutsu would not last because Kurama would disrupt it. And even if Yata Mirror can stop a TBB, I don't believe it can cover all sides of Itachi's body. Naruto could make his hundreds of clones, surround Itachi, and then plan a deadly finishing attack from behind. If anything, Naruto would certainly outlast Itachi.

TOBI would beat Itachi. His space-time jutsu would make it impossible for The Sword of Totsuka to seal him. He has access to Gedo Mazo, whose chakra snake thing can pass through Susano'o since it's not a physical attack. The Sword cannot seal Gedo Mazo since it does not have a soul to seal. Also, since Tobi has the 6 paths of Pain, he has access to all of those powers. However, they wouldn't even need to be used, since Tobi would just outlast Itachi, since it is clear that his space-time jutsu takes up far less chakra than maintaining susano'o. He knows all about the Uchiha so he would not get caught in a genjutsu.

NAGATO would probably beat Itachi. First of all, he has worked with Itachi, and knows not to get caught in genjutsu, so he would avoid eye contact. To maintain a visual, all he needs to do is summon his invisible chameleon and have it watch the battle for him invisibly. Amaterasu would be absorbed by Preta Path. So all Itachi has is the Sword, which might work, except Nagato could just fly out of range with Deva Path. Also, Nagato has Gedo Mazo, which Itachi cannot seal, and that could be used as a shield. Finally, Itachi has no answer for Chibaku Tensei. He cannot destroy it on his own, he clearly needed Naruto and Bee to aid him. Don't assume that he could destroy it on his own, the manga shows that Naruto and Bee were needed, and so he couldn't do it alone.

MADARA could beat Itachi. Madara unlocked the Rinnegan before he died, so he has access to that and all that it implies, which SHOULD mean that the same goes for him as Nagato. Still, being an EMS Uchiha he would have no problem avoiding Itachi's genjutsu, and might use gen jutsu himself. He also has Susano'o, which would block Amaterasu. The sword of Totsuka is his only problem, but he probably would not make the mistake of letting it catch him, due to all of his battle experience. It is dodgeable after all.

Itachi cannot use Izanagi, so that's out. We still don't know what Izanami does, but it clearly takes time to prepare, and the other's would not lie around doing nothing allowing him to do so. And as of right now, we can't speculate, so it is not fair using it as a reason that he'd win. These aren't all of the ninja I think can beat Itachi, but all I needed was 1 to disprove your thread, so I believe that I have succeeded in that.

Tbh this thread by the op is a stupid one he has gotten people who either at first didnt hate itachi start to him, but also people who already hated him, hate him further.

Anyway what the manga has made very clear if you can read is that itachi protected sasuke with susano, because sasuke couldnt activate his fast enough it seems and its due to this that itachi got impaled. Obvious if sasuke wasnt there, itachi wouldve protected himself from the attack with susano.

Anyway in the previous chapter itachi said izanami has been activated so for all you know what is happening is happening in izanami. But anyway lets give this chapter to itachi haters, what is clear from kishi giving kabuto a backstory and going by itachi's words is that kabuto will most likely die in the next two chapters, by izanami itachi technique, an uchiha technique. After all its the end result that matters :izuna:
