I'm making this thread to clear this up with manga facts. Lets start with the first killing blow landed on Nagato. We see how Itachi used Amaterasu on Nagato when Nagato was still conscious of himself, he didn't resist or counter it. One would think he was unable to counter it but this isnt true, he fell off his summon and laid on the ground being consumed by Amaterasu but he still did nothing, Nagato has two counters for Amaterasu

he didnt use any of these until Kabuto took full control of him meaning with the weaker control tag, Nagato could resist the command from Kabuto.
Moving on to the second attack made on Nagato. We see Itachi using Susanoo to free Naruto and Bee and destroying on e of Nagato hands in the process, Itachi wouldnt have been able to accomplish this if the attack wasnt coming from behind and the reason Itachi could come from behind was because of Nagato facing another direction dealing with Naruto and Bee
then we come to chibaku tensei, Itachi may not have been able to break this alone, chances are that he couldnt because its common sense that you only ask for help when you cant do it yourself
Finally we come to the Totsuka stab, some people seem to think that Totsuka has some sort of super speed but where is this ever mentioned in the manga? It has only hit two completely still targets:Orochimaru and Nagato. Orochimaru was in the mouth of a snake which stood still for him to come out and Nagato's feet were destroyed and NO CHARACTER EVER COMPLIMENTED TOTSUKA'S SPEED. Every high level speed is always talked about-A, Naruto, Amaterasu,FTG etc Totsuka hasnt been attributed super speed, its speed appears similar to Kusanagi since both of them simply lengthen. Nagato was immobile as said by Kabuto but that doesnt mean he cant move, he can move on his animal summon so it was simply an opportune moment for Itachi.
