Itachi completed his mission to massacre the Uchiha clan. Sasuke Uchiha is the survivor along with Obito who ITACHI WAS WELL AWARE OF (knew he was an Uchiha not Obito specifically) . It has been stated so many times that Obito was terrified of Itachi and waited until he was DEAD to attack Konoha.

Itachi was praised by THE FIRST HOKAGE "he was a better shinobi than I (speaking to sasuke) " . Not to mention Itachi never awakened his ETERNAL MS. All he has is MS. Where as Sasuke and Madara have much stronger visual jutsu.

ALSO Its to be noted only EDO Itachi did not suffer from Illness throughout most of his life. Itachi was terminally ill which is what made him prologue his life so Sasuke could kill him. Even after he came back he stopped Edo Tensei almost single handed.

Lets be serious.. Itachi would have been a great Kage. But he's dead so they cannot name him a kage. I would rather Itachi be a kage over Naruto but of course that would never happen. If Itachi had the reasoning of a kage at the age of 7 he would definitely be much better than the others. I stand by this statement with proof not just idle speculation.

You're missing the point.Only people who are acknowledged by the villagers can become Hokage which in Itachi's case is the complete opposite.People treat him as a rogue ninja who slaughtered his clan.

Itachi failed. His whole efforts were in vain, because Sasuke turned evil.

In comparison, Hashirama stopped the strongest Uchiha, Tobirama died to protect Hiruzen & co, Hiruzen died to seal the first 2 hokages and oro's hands, Minato stopped Obito, 9tails and made Naruto the savior of the world.

In comparison, Itachi failed on a grand level.

Tsukuyomi can only be broken by another Uchiha member and since there's only 3 people left of the Uchiha clan, who can't even beat him, he's invincible.
