We all know he admit his mistake for cleansing his clan to Sasuke, if he talk Sasuke the truth maybe the outcome is different. Itachi life is full of regret he know if he talk to more people he may get better decision.

After Danzo brainwashing him to do the work he leave konoha, left Danzo with full supply for Sharingan. It was Danzo the one who bring idea to kill Uchiha, Sarutobi still believe diplomacy still work because Uchiha is part of Konoha. Itachi is still to naive to believe Uchiha will create turmoil without realizing the fault Danzo action throw them out the side of the village is the reason uchiha dissatisfaction towards Konoha. If Konoha fair to them, Uchiha will not going against the village. They all are the police force to begin with. Another prove Itachi is pure naive is he work for the man who make Uchiha get bad reputation, Uchiha never broke and control Kyubi to attack the Konoha it was Tobi and surprisingly he ask Tobi help to cleanse innocent Uchiha. If itachi never exist Uchiha still alive and Sarada maybe live with more bigger family. But such a waste of sperm Fugaku no need to proud with his mentally disorder teenage that he did a great decision work with Uchiha traitor Tobi to kill all innocent uchiha. Overall i fell a very fail character all over Itachi, his sins is unbearable to disguise. I think character like itachi should banned to media because it will create more sick children to society.

This is just my thoughts i want to know what about yours. Did itachi deserve honor after his mistake or he is deserve to what he think he is die with sin and bare all the cost to be recognize as 'The nightmare of Konoha'.

Danzo controlled him with Shisui's KA probably and made him do those things without him noticing it by allowing him to believe that he is trading the entire clan for Sasuke's life and his village. If that's not the case, then what he did was wrong and a bit selfish on his part by letting Sasuke live and kill other uchiha children, but I understand his love for his brother. Even though Itachi is one of my favs, what I truly do not like is him killing innocent children and women.
Killing the rebel faction would've sufficed and negotiating and taking care of the rest of the uchihas's concern would've put a stop to further bloodshed. For someone as intelligent as Itachi not realizing this seem a bit suspicious and points more towards KA being in action, of course the manga never implied that in the slightest so this just and assumption I'd like to believe in.

Always gotta blame plot when decisions are just plain dumb in the manga. Like dead ass, Itachi protecting the village one day, the next day he is the most wanted crimmial for slaughtering the whole clan and left sasuke alive... Kakashi didn't even investigate why!! There had to be like a few people who know that something is off with this whole picture.

Honestly, I expected the leader of the Hyuga clan to raise an eye and question the 3rd hokage about it.

Itachi's intelligence is not that lame that he got manipulate by danzo..he knew that he has lack of options and danzo thinks about well-being of the village
Also he got close to tobi to know its true intention
I know he leaves sasuke with huge burden but same thing is done by minato who leave naruto to take down maskman

If you blame plot, then the story doesn't move forward as it is design. You just come up with Fanfiction and speculate on what you think may happen next.

Nope. When a reader blames plot, it mean that the creator didn't craft the story well enough. Think about all the manga you had read, which one scream out Plot the most? Naruto has plot written all over it.

Plot = story. :| You can criticize the story, but to say "plot" is to blame is insane.

I somewhat agree but if he only killed the rebel faction & left the others would mourn their love ones & likely still rebel from Konoha. I would've agreed with leaving a few children, but too many would've lead to many other Sasuke-esque characters.

At least that would've bought the village some time to address the remaining uchihas's concerns. In time their hate could've vanished and they could've integrated with the village as once envisioned by Hashi and Madara once and make lasting peace between the uchihas and the village if the situation is handled carefully.

Itachi also wants peace for the shinobi world, not just for Konoha and Uchiha. He has same ideology as Shisui.
He let Sasuke live and use his hatred to get stronger, because the enemy if far more stronger than they are back then.
Indeed, Itachi may have his regrets but still he accepted it and still fulfilled some of his missions - peace for the shinobi world during his time; sasuke's safety; and once more being able to protect Konoha behind like a shadow. wease:
