itachi could've been 5th Hokage

Yes and No.... He's far to young to say the least. He's very powerful and intelligent but so is Kakashi, Kakashi also have allot more experience than itachi.

Kakashi should of successfully taken the place is Tsunade wasn't there, Then it would of been naruto.

Itachi had the potential to be the 5th but he was an uchiha which were not trusted in the leaf after the 9 tail attacked so i dont think the elders would have approved specially danzo

I wish he would, but it whoulve never happen. keep in mind itachi was a sick dying man. i think the leaf would want someone heathy and strong than someone sick and strong.

He is definitely strong enough, being Upper Kage level, but just like Kakashi, I highly doubt that Itachi would want to be the Hokage. He doesnt seem cut out to be sitting at a desk, worrying about the village.
