Itachi cannot use izunami against someone like minato who isnt lieing to himself..

1. minato can break thru genjutsu by placing seals thus he can make a contract with his own body to undo one...
2. itachi's power genjutsu (tsukuyomi) requires seconds to activate....a ninja who senses chakra being accumulated to itachi's eye can easily dodge or blitz him while he accumulates closes his eye for a split second and die from a rasengan attack from his back...he can never blink.

3. death reaper seal isn't needed for itachi...his stamina is way too low...by manga canon, itachi can be blitzed and even sliced in half...period...

1 minato can't break out of itachi genjutsu only another uchiha can.
2 itachi most powerful genjutsu is ka which takes hardly no time to activate and minato wouldn't even know he's in it.
3 itachi dying from his low stamina is the most likely outcome

izanami requires time to prepare...and fighting minato, you don't even have time to blink....
even itachi said it himself...izanami can't actually be used in a battle...
it's a manga canon...deal with it...

well izanami decides fate, if you not true to yourself, you end up like Kabuto, in an infite loop. Minato on the other hand doesnt try to be anyone, and is true to himself. So he'll be in and out of that izanami in no time

And im not saying all that because im a fanboy or anything, im Guy sensei fan. Im just using the logic itachi explained in the manga.

Here is why itachi would win in a battle vs minato

Minato main power comes from his speed and ability to ftg to his seals. Well itachi is extremely fast himself as he was able to keep up with buji mode naruto and bee. So itachi speeds cancels out minato speed not because he is as fast as minato but because with his sharigan predicting minato movement he can react quickly enough to counter.
Of course minato still haa ftg and that makes his speed unmatchable but the main way he uses it is by throwing kunai with the seals already them near his opponents to teleport towards them. But in a battle with itachi that's a disadvantage for minato because itachi is the best when it comes to throwing kunai and shuriken so anything minato throws his way would get deflected.

So if it comes down to taijutsu I'm not sure who is better but I would give the edge to minato because he's faster but in a battle with itachi you just never know it may turn out to be a clone and blow up in minato face.

Now if minato makes any eye contact with itachi the fight is over we have yet to see a non uchiha capable of handling itachi genjutsu so their is no reason to believe minato could.

So I see this battle ending 3 possible ways
1 minato lose cuz he looks at itachi and gets caught in a genjutsu.
2 itachi lose cuz he runs out of chakra
3 they both die because of reaper death seal.

But I don't see minato beating itachi.

did you say itachi is as fast as minato... what made you feel so? i knew without ftg minato is as fast as minato...

do you really think someone intelligent like minato would be finish by itachi's genjustu.

also minato has kcm plus ftg so itachi will have an impossible time even keeping up with minato
so i give this fight to minato

KA has been programmed to protent konoha... it was given to naruto very early on...

Also Ka could only be used Via a crow... KA was only programmed to see Itachi's mangekyou sharingan..
