Well, now it makes sense as to why SP is pacing through the novel material so fast- they want to go past the ending (book 2 ends with Itachi leaving w/ Tobi after massacre and doesn't go on after that... it's just him from age 4-13).
They're going to show an ep where he interacts with Orochimaru and Pein. So, if you are a fan of the latter two, check it out. Hopefully it's good.
I like this more since it will feel more complete... an Itachi anime arc without the most well-known version of Itachi (Akatsuki) wouldn't be complete imo. Plus, it will be nice to see more of the Akatsuki organization, even if it's a little. They've been dearly missed with how the other villains which came after them turned out.
