But when Itachi was looking up at the rain, he automatically knew that Sasuke was alive after the storm has passed.

I think that what happened was that Tobi who survived the blast informed Itachi using the storm that Sasuke actually lives using some kind of storm technique.

Yeah, Sasuke is stronger than Deidara but that suicide blast could takeout anybody that's not protected.
I figured that since Itachi knows that Sasuke doesn't have Susanoo protect him but he wasn't aware of Sasuke's snake powers.

yeah, but didn't itachi know that madara(obito) was with deidara? that's a concern equally as important as danzo crossing paths with sasuke.
