Itachi and Sasuke's reunion

So, am I the only one thinking this could all be solved if Itachi popped up and talked to Sasuke? Afterall, didn't Sasuke tell team 7 that he would give up on vengeance (with a maniacle laughter, might I add) if they brought his big brother back to life? So when are the going to meet and what will Sasuke's reaction be like? I get the feeling it's going to go something like this:

Itachi: Little brother! I'm ALIVE!
Sasuke: Big brother! I've missed you ever so much!wease:
Itachi: Fight alongside meee~!

But yeah, you do have a good point. Should Itachi spoke to Sasuke, perhaps things would turn out different. But this also could mean that things would not go like that and Sasuke will become more aggravated by hearing Itachi telling him to stop the revenge on the leaf. Well, there are many possibilities, but I just hope for an epic fight and I am sure that everyone is expecting that.
