Itachi and Pain

I believe Kishimoto meant pain and Itachi to be equal in terms of power not one greater than the other. I think Kishimoto wanted obstacles in place for the main characters that were of equal diffiuclty. later when pain and itachi were together walking they claimed they could take over the world. I believe them to be two halves of a whole. Pain being the crazy sweeper, carrying out long ranged attacks insane destructive. and Itachi for precise and refined attacks coupled with insane speed. Idk what do you all think? this isn't a versus thread but a discussion fyi.

Still, I'll always put Pain/Nagato over other shinobi (within reason obviously xd), it's simply my nature

Like I've said a zillion times, a god-like genius vs a god-like powerhouse makes for an even fight. Though Pain has the upper hand due to Nagato's huge chakra reserves.

If I absolutely had to decide pain>itachi because 7 bodies>1. yes pain was naruto's stepping stone just as itachi was sasuke's.

I doubt EMS Madara is stronger than Pain. Rinnegan > EMS after all.
Pain is capable of soloing an entire Village, EMS Madara can't.

Nagato or Pain is stronger its doesn't mean he will win over itachi. Itachi could win over nagato because of his speed, genjutsu and intellence
