I honestly don't see how amaterasu won't one shot Guy, he'd have to power up to 7 gates from the start. And since he doesn't look into uchihas eyes when he fights, how would he even see it coming?

--Obito is not doing much here, not when the intel is Full for team 1 which results in minato marking him the instant he solidifies to attack, as once that happens he is done for,

--Nothing short of 7th gate is helping guy evade amaterasu, so there isnt much thats stopping itachi to one shot to him, and even if he goes to the 7th gate, he sstill cant attack both of them at the same time, so the instant he runs out of gates, he gets one shotted by the either of them

Gai and Obito is a pretty killer combo because Obito can run up and engage an opponent while using kamui and then Gai can just blast with Hirudora, not needing to worry about obito because of intangibility

Opening gates blasts away amaterasu Lol never heard that one before.

Blowing force/wind will only empower and increase the flames, just like air and wind fuels fire more. And since amaterasu isn't some regular fire that can be easily blown away or extinguished by anything. Not to mention, I find it hard to believe that Guy while suffering from the pain and heat of the Flames, can then suddenly find the strength to open the gates while his body is being burned.

But hey, whatever. If that's the belief now, nothing I say is changing that.

Yeah true but it's a 2v2 which means one can't ignore another opponents.

What's so hard in that? Why does wind force increase the fire? Temari upon swinging her fan significantly reduced Amaterasu on the Guard during the Kage summit.

Gai upon punching endures fire on his hand so Amaterasu that's going to be on him for a short period(despite the fire burning slowly) shouldn't be that much of a big deal when we talk of someone that endures Pain even in the gates as well. Plus, we have the Heal gates which helps him recover. Gai's Pain endurance should be superior to Ay's by feats.

Like I said, Yata which is a shield blocks Itachi's view...so in order to use Amaterasu, he'll have to remove it from his front which means he's opened for AT. Plus V4 is the version which uses this (unless I'm mistakened)and Gai can hold up the 7G longer by feats.
