Itachi needs to stay dead. His arc is done. He has already influenced both Naruto and Sasuke into different stages of their character development. His coming back would serve no purpose other than to be defeated by the villains to prove that the villains are powerful. Itachi can't defeat either villain because that role is reserved for the main characters Naruto and Sasuke. Also, if this happens next chapter, it would be right out the blue, and I'd have to call deus ex machina.
